Scope of terms and conditions
ABICYCLETTE® organises and offers services such as sports trips, and is specialized in training courses and cycling travels.
The use of our services involves full acceptance without reserve of the general terms and conditions.
ABICYCLETTE reserves itself the right to modify its general terms and conditions at all times. The latter are applicable immediately, as soon as ABICYCLETTE’s clients are informed of the changes.
ABICYCLETTE® is a registered trademark by the company ABICYCLETTE SARL with a capital of 10.000€; 503 645 871 RCS Rennes.
ABICYCLETTE is registered in the register of tour and holiday French operators under the following number: IM035100006.
An ABICYCLETTE stay or trip is a tourist package that includes several services for the end customer.
– “Price includes” describes all services provided to the end customer.
– “Price does not include” describes the main elements that are not included in the offer. The list is non-exhaustive. Anything not mentioned in “price includes” is considered not included in the offer.
The details of the service and what is included is decided between the two parties and is detailed explicitly on the written travel contract – tourist package.
Booking and registration for a stay involves the signing of an estimate and the payment of a deposit of 30% of the total amount of the stay. Travel insurance must be paid in full at the time of registration. Transportation options (air, sea, rail, land), must also be paid in full at the time of registration. When booking and registering within 30 days of the first day of the trip, the total amount of stay must be paid at the time of booking.
To be valid, the client must complete the registration form, indicating at least the following information:
ABICYCLETTE confirms the registration and booking upon receipt of the signed estimate, the 30% deposit or total amount of the stay, the registration form, by sending an accounting document.
The cancellation fees and the application of these Sales General Terms and Conditions, take effect upon receipt of the signed quote. In accordance with the regulations, no withdrawal period applies in the sale and organization of travel and tourist package.
Travel contract – tourist package
A travel contract – tourist package is sent to the customer no later than 30 days from the first day of the trip. The contract details all the services and elements according to Article R211-6 of the Tourism Code.
At the signing of the travel contract – tourist package, the client certifies:
1 – to have read – before the conclusion of this contract – the offer meeting the requirements of article R. 211-4 of the Code of Tourism, specific conditions for travel sales and the standard information form (INFORMATION NOTICE ON THE SALE OF A TRIP OR TOURIST PACKAGE),
2 – to have read the information related to the political and health situation of the chosen destination listed in the advice-to-travelers section of the website https://www.diplomatie.gouv.fr/fr/conseils-aux-voyageurs/ ( more specifically concerning the sub-headings “country risk” and “health”) to be consulted regularly until departure,
3 – have read the brochure and / or the quote and the program of the organizer,
4 – to have read the warranty conditions of the subscribed insurances
The customer must return a copy of the travel contract – tourist package signed and completed to SARL ABICYCLETTE no later than 21 days before the first day of the trip. The contract must be accompanied by a copy signed by the customer of these Sales General Terms and Conditions.
A travel contract – tourist package can be written by traveler on request. However, the minimum number of participants of the commercial offer is informed about the travel contract – tourist package to ensure the validity of the trip and the total amount of services billed in euros.
The prices applied are the ones in effect at the time of the registration to the program. The stated prices are « including all taxes ». ABICYCLETTE reserves the right to modify its prices at all times. They will then be valid immediately.
In accordance with the law, ABICYCLETTE may be obliged to modify its rates in the following cases:
The clients immediately forewarned are bound to settle the surcharge. Any refusal will be considered as a client cancellation (refer to the paragraph « client cancellation » to get acquainted with the terms and conditions of cancellation and the amount of reimbursement)
In case of special offers, organized by ABICYCLETTE, prices may be modified for promotional purposes:
ABICYCLETTE’s customers, who are registered for a program, prior to a special offer, will not be able to request nor benefit from any advantages from this special offer.
ABICYCLETTE reserves the right to cancel the stay in the following cases:
The cancellation for one of these reasons entails a total refund of the sums paid except in the following case:
If the minimum number of participants is not reached due to the cancellation of one or more participants, the cancellation is considered as a Customer Cancellation whose cancellation terms and conditions detailed below apply. A new rate proposal may be sent to participants who wish to complete the trip for which they were registered.
The customer can cancel his trip at any time after signing the travel contract – tourist package. He must justify it in writing (email or regular mail). Whatever the cause or causes, the customer must pay to ABICYCLETTE SARL the cancellation fee for the stay (excluding non-refundable insurance premium):
ABICYCLETTE offers its customers cancellation insurance to subscribe individually or collectively (within its group). The optional insurance policy prevents cancellation fees (excluding deductibles) mentioned in this chapter. The customer can request the insurance conditions from an ABICYCLETTE travel advisor .
Changes made by the organizer
The program may undergo changes in case of force majeure, special conditions of the moment that may affect the safety of the group (meteorology, pandemic, political …) that may lead up to cancellation.
ABICYCLETTE, in application of the Code of Tourism, undertakes to offer equivalent replacement services when the company is unable to perform the scheduled services representing a significant percentage of the overall price. In the event that the company can not offer equivalent services, it undertakes to reimburse the corresponding sums.
Changes made by the customer
The customer may request changes to his travel options after signing the travel contract – tourist package. Each change requires administrative and / or reservations interventions by our travel advisory team. This is why for each change there is a 35,00 € surcharge per person. Note that the cancellation of one or more services is not considered as a modification. The cancellation of a service is subject to the fees indicated in the paragraph “Customer Cancellation”, determined by the number of days preceding the departure. A modification is understood as the replacement of one service with another. The replacement service offered may be at a higher cost, the additional costs are billed to the customer (s). In case of a replacement service of a lower cost, the difference can not be reimbursed by ABICYCLETTE, as a cancellation fee for the original service proposed.
In accordance with the law, ABICYCLETTE authorizes its customers the possibility of transferring their travel contract – tourist package to a third party. To be valid, the client (s) must inform ABICYCLETTE of this decision no later than seven days before the first day of the program (postmarked as proof). The decision must include the exact and complete contact details (see paragraph “Booking & Registration”) of the new participant (s) who must fulfill the same conditions of stay (age, disability, various options). The insurance options are not transferable. Note that the transferor and the assignee are jointly responsible for the settlement of the balance of the stay as well as additional costs that would imply the transfer (example: non-changeable, non-exchangeable ticket). In all cases, additional processing fees are payable by the customer (transferor and assignee jointly):
According to the law, ABICYCLETTE will convey the identity of the air carrier and all changes that may occur, set by the airline. ABICYCLETTE commits to offer and sell air transportation exclusively from « trustworthy » airlines. The « blacklist » or LIST OF AIRLINES SUBJECTED TO A BAN OF FLYING or to A RESTRICTION OF GENERAL OPERATING IN THE EUROPEAN UNION is available for consultation on this webpage: http://ec.europa.eu/transport/modes/air/safety/air-ban/doc/list_fr.pdf
Each participant is liable for his equipment (bike, clothing equipment, all accessories), whether he is the owner or renter. We decline all liability for any damage on the bikes, for any falls or theft.
In case of a rental, a security deposit is mandatory by credit card. In the case of deterioration or theft of the rental equipment made available, ABICYCLETTE will debit the sum of the deposit.
Some ABICYCLETTE trips include the rental of satellite equipment, i.e. a GPS. A security deposit is mandatory, by credit card. In the case of deterioration or theft of the rental equipment made available, ABICYCLETTE will debit the sum of the deposit.
Each participant should bring suitable clothing and equipment needed for daily biking (short/long sleeved sportswear, fleece jacket, waterproof jacket, multi sport/activity shoes).
Wearing a helmet is strongly recommended. ABICYCLETTE declines all responsibility if the client(s) does not wear the recommended safety equipment.
ABICYCLETTE may provide safety equipment if the request has been explicitly stipulated when signing the contract (see « the price includes »: rental equipment option.
Some trips – tourist packages included the provision, for the duration of the stay, of one or more GPS-type satellite reception devices. A security deposit is required and payable by credit card. In case of deterioration, or theft of the equipment supplied ABICYCLETTE cashes the amount of the deposit. The GPS (s) is / are given to the traveler after signature of the document entitled “BIKE AND GPS LOAN – GUARANTEE & SECURITY DEPOSIT”. The non-signature and acceptance of this document is considered as a refusal to use the GPS device (s) for the entire stay. The return of the GPS is done after signature of the document “BIKE AND GPS LOAN – GUARANTEE & PROOF OF RETURN”. These two documents mentioned above are provided by ABICYCLETTE at the beginning of the stay.
Each participant is required to bring a minimum of clothing for daily biking(short-sleeved and long-sleeved sportswear, fleece, waterproof jacket, outdoor multi activity shoes).
Wearing the helmet is strongly recommended. ABICYCLETTE declines any responsibility in case of non use of the recommended safety equipment.
ABICYCLETTE may provide safety equipment if the request was explicitly stipulated when signing of the contract (see “price includes”: rental equipment option).
The CLIENT declares to rent the equipment in perfect working condition and maintenance, and / or indicates the defective parts to ABICYCLETTE upon reception of the equipment. After the inventory, the equipment is then under the full responsibility of the customer, especially in case of theft, breakage, total or partial. It is expected of the CUSTOMER, a respect of the material, in the rules of use of a bicycle, as well as by a minimum of maintenance according to the conditions met (cleaning, tightening, greasing, inflation …). The CUSTOMER undertakes not to leave the bike unattended or without using the lock provided.
In some cases, ABICYCLETTE uses a PARTNER to rent bicycles. The inventory is then made by the PARTNER. ABICYCLETTE can not be held responsible in case of defective material that has not been reported by the CLIENT to the PARTNER.
Before leaving, ABICYCLETTE invites its customers to check the validity of your passport or your identity card as well as your visas according to your destination. ABICYCLETTE will not be held responsible for any infections and diseases contracted during the trip. ABICYCLETTE may in certain cases have you sign the sanitary sheets of the countries of destination as part of its disclosure of information.
Before leaving, ABICYCLETTE recommends its clients to have a check-up with their doctor to check their fitness for cycling. ABICYCLETTE declines any responsibility in the event of significant physical failure related to the effort.

ABICYCLETTE will not be held responsible for any infections and diseases contracted during the trip. ABICYCLETTE® offers a sports accompaniment on the physical and technical aspects. This support is characterized by counseling sessions in the form of longitudinal accompaniment or one-off training courses.
As part of its offer of personalized accompaniment, ABICYCLETTE commits itself on the offer of services specified in “the price includes”, which can be detailed in the following way:
ABICYCLETTE distinguishes two types of “personalized accompaniment” :
ABICYCLETTE offers its services in the form of a monthly and annual fee. Each package corresponds to a number of months of service from the ABICYCLETTE coach to the subscriber. A specific monthly rate is granted to the customer depending on the package chosen. At the end of the first accompaniment contract, the customer can take out a new longer package in order to benefit from a cheaper price. Each package and contract is independent and it can not be cumulative to obtain a rate lower than the amount corresponding to the new package selected.
The LEISURE and ATHLETIC packages are offered at different rates, the allotted time and the number of sessions and exercises on the ATHLETIC formula being greater. A client subscribing to the LEISURE package may not require more than four sessions per week. He may not require specific preparation for a specific competitive objective. If a coach considers that the LEISURE form subscribed does not correspond to the needs and expectations of the subscriber, he may request the termination of the contract. The customer will then have to subscribe to a new ATHLETIC formula. This can not benefit from the seniority of the previous contract.
ABICYCLETTE draws up a contract detailing the services mentioned above and the choice of package applied. This contract signed by both parties: the Customer (and Participant if different) and ABICYCLETTE engages both parties to the application of these terms and conditions of sale.
Breach of contract
By the customer: The customer sends to ABICYCLETTE by mail with acknowledgment of receipt a letter stipulating his will to break the contract. This breach of contract before term does not disengage the customer from the payment of the services mentioned in the contracts. Nevertheless, upon termination of the contract, ABICYCLETTE calculates the number of months followed by the client and his coach. The monthly rate of the package corresponding to this number of months applies to the number of months followed by the customer, from the signing of the contract until the date of termination (postmarked time). Thus the difference between the monthly payments paid and the monthly rate corresponding to the number of months followed is due by the customer. ABICYCLETTE issues an invoice for the payment of this difference which then communicates to the customer.
By the coach and ABICYCLETTE: At the termination of the contract, the customer is bound by the regulations of every month started. The following months included in the contract are simply canceled and ABICYCLETTE can not ask for payment. The customer can not claim the execution of services after the termination of the contract. The customer will be notified by mail the breach of the contract taking effect immediately or on a date mentioned in the said mail.
The payment of the services provided as part of the subscription to a personalized accompaniment contract is made monthly on the 20th of the month preceding the services (Example: 20 March for the period covering the month of April). An invoice is issued to the subscriber for the monthly amount of the subscribed package (refer to the proposed commercial offers and the details of the package included in the contract).
The customer wishing to pay the entire package at once can request it. An invoice will be published before the start of the service.
The customer may not require ABICYCLETTE to carry out the services ordered before reception by ABICYCLETTE of the approved and signed services contract and the payment by the client of the current period mentioned in the said contract.
ABICYCLETTE organizes sports training courses for a day, half day or several consecutive days. A state-certified instructor supervises private or group lessons.
ABICYCLETTE drafts a contract detailing the services included in the training course. This contract signed by both parties: the Customer (and Participant if different) and ABICYCLETTE engages both parties to the application of these terms and conditions of sale.
The full settlement of the course is due at registration. Full payment of the course must be made by credit card, bank transfer or check in euros made payable to “ABICYCLETTE” and addressed to ABICYCLETTE, 81 MAIL FRANÇOIS MITTERRAND 35000 RENNES
In the event of late payment, the penalty rate corresponds to the “refinancing rate” plus 10 points. (ie 11% as of May 13, 2009). Penalties are due without any reminder being required. They are effective the day after the date of payment on the invoice. There is 0 discount for any advance payment.
ABICYCLETTE reserves the right to cancel the training course in the following cases:
Cancellation for any of these reasons results in a full refund of the amount paid by registered customers.
The customer can cancel his registration at any time after signing the sales contract. In case of cancellation by the client (s), more than 31 days before the training course, 5% of the total price of the training course (options included) a minimum of € 10.00 will be retained per person.
Changes made by the organizer

ABICYCLETTE, in application of the Code of Tourism, modified on December 2009, undertakes to offer equivalent replacement services when the company is unable to perform the scheduled services representing a significant percentage of the overall price. In the event that the company can not offer equivalent services, it undertakes to reimburse the corresponding sums.
ABICYCLETTE offers a complementary rental of equipment service, and in particular bicycles (of any type), bicycle bags, GPS, cycling mechanical tools. This list is not exhaustive.
The equipment made available by ABICYCLETTE may be new or used and benefits from regular control and maintenance. It is delivered to the customer in perfect working condition.
The equipment is made available within the legal framework of the drawing up of a rental contract. The contract specifies the start and end time when the client takes possession of the equipment as well as the place and time of the reception of the equipment. It binds the parties to the specific rental conditions described in the contract and the general conditions of sale.
An inventory is made between ABICYCLETTE and the CLIENT mentioned on the rental contract. The inventory is added as an appendix to the contract when the equipment is handed over. The CLIENT declares to rent the equipment defined during the inventory, in perfect working condition and maintenance, and / or indicates a remark concerning defective equipment. The equipment is then under the full responsibility of the client, especially in case of theft, total or partial damage. The CLIENT must respect the equipment in its daily use of a bike; minimum maintenance: every two days for rented bicycles over several days: chain greasing, cleaning of brake pads and rims.
A security deposit equal or lower to the sum of the equipment provided is needed by ABICYCLETTE. ABICYCLETTE informs the CLIENT during the inventory of equipment, the amount of the security deposit. The CLIENT grants ABICYCLETTE the right to debit the security deposit if the equipment is lost or damaged.
In some cases, ABICYCLETE uses a PARTNER to rent bicycles. It is then automatically mentioned in the contract of travel or rental as the case. The inventory is then made by the PARTNER. ABICYCLETTE can not be held responsible in case of defective material that has not been reported by the CLIENT to the PARTNER.
During trips and training courses, ABICYCLETTE hires professional photographers or takes pictures by its own means. ABICYCLETTE reserves the right to use these pictures for promotional purposes on leaflets, posters, websites, social networks. This list is not exhaustive.
The client(s) gives ABICYCLETTE, within the framework of promotional purposes and the online catalogue of SARL ABICYCLETTE and especially www.abicyclette-voyages.com, the right to reproduce and show digitally worldwide, by shared rights and non-transferable rights, and for the whole duration of its intellectual property rights, an illustration of the services accomplished for the client.
Le client(s) also authorises ABICYCLETTE to use his first name, his image , his brands, this list is not exhaustive, in order to be reproduced and shared online at www.abicyclette-voyages.com, and at future SARL ABICYCLETTE websites, for promotional purposes, bibliographic and/or for information (example: “Testimonials” section).
However ABICYCLETTE ensures to not use any image which could be degrading or which could harm one or several clients.
If a client refuses the usage of his name, his image or his brands he shall make a written request by post addressed to ABICYCLETTE, 81 MAIL FRANÇOIS MITTERRAND 35000 RENNES with acknowledgement of receipt, before the first day of the program for which the client has registered (in order that the pictures taken with the other participants may be used).
In compliance with the current European regulations by the application of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), ABICYCLETTE is committed to protecting your personal data.
Abicyclette SARL may collect, store and use information about the users, their activity on the SARL ABICYCLETTE’s sites specially www.abicyclette-voyages.com, and / or their login information. They are not disclosed to third parties , they are not collected for commercial prospecting purposes.
The collection and processing of data from Internet users comply with the current legislation. They are not held beyond the time required to manage the site functionality.
A “cookie” is a file of limited size, generally consisting of letters and numbers, sent by the internet server to the browser’s cookie file located on your computer’s hard disk. Its purpose is to collect information relating to the user’s navigation and to provide the user with services adapted to the user’s terminal (computer, mobile or tablet).
In order to improve the site and usability, Abicyclette SARL measures the number of page views, the number of visits, as well as the activity of the visitors on the site and their frequency of return thanks to Google Analytics.
The user can decide at any time to opt out of cookies via the setting of the user’s browser or by clicking on “no” in the message about the acceptance of cookies visible from the user’s first visit.
Abicyclette SARL collects personal data, limited to the strict minimum necessary, and informs its customers, prospects, users, partners and suppliers:
The data is kept for a fixed period and then deleted, depending on the type of information and contractual relationship.
Abicyclette SARL undertakes to take the measures and means necessary and available to ensure the safety and confidentiality of personal data to prevent them from being falsified or that unauthorized third parties can access them.
In the event of a security breach affecting your personal data, Abicyclette SARL undertakes to comply with the obligation to notify the organizations designated by the GDPR.

ABICYCLETTE undertakes to respond to all requests or complaints as soon as possible.
No complaint made by the CLIENT can have the effect of suspending the payment by the latter of the relevant orders.
The contractual documents and the present GTC are governed by French law.
In the event that one or more clauses of the present terms would be considered null according to a current rule of law or a judicial decision become irrevocable, the other stipulations would retain all their force and their range.
In case of difficulty of interpretation between one of the titles and one of the clauses, the content of the clause will prevail over the title.

Hi David, Geoff and I are now back in Canada having thoroughly enjoyed our cycling trip. The bikes were excellent and we did not have any mechanical issues with them. They were a joy to ride. The daily distance was perfect for us as well. The paniers were also great and provided enough room for our daily needs. The accommodation was excellent and our bags were always ready when we arrived. We also took in many of your suggestions for places to eat and they were great recommendations. We ate well over the week with wonderful seafood. Thanks also for your assistance in getting us to Saint Malo and for assisting us retrieve our passports !! (...)
