Scope of terms and conditions
ABICYCLETTE® organises and offers services such as sports trips, and is specialized in training courses and cycling travels.
The use of our services involves full acceptance without reserve of the general terms and conditions.
ABICYCLETTE reserves itself the right to modify its general terms and conditions at all times. The latter are applicable immediately, as soon as ABICYCLETTE’s clients are informed of the changes.
ABICYCLETTE is a registered trademark by the company ABICYCLETTE SARL with a capital of 10.000€; 503 645 871 RCS Rennes.
ABICYCLETTE is a register of tour and holiday French operators registered under the following number: IM035100006.
An « all included » ABICYCLETTE trip

The details of the service and of what it includes are decided between the two parties and are detailed explicitly in the written travel sales contract.
Booking & registration
Booking a trip involves the payment of a deposit of 30% of the total price (which includes the trip and all of the chosen options), except the cancellation or multiple-risk insurance which must be paid in its entirety.
In case of purchase of transport tickets (ferry, train, plane), payment of the latter is required during registration.
To be valid, the client must complete the registration form, indicating at least the following information for each participant:
Travel sales contract
Any registration for a trip is definitive when ABICYCLETTE receives the travel sales contract duly completed and signed by the client(s) and one of the competent people of ABICYLETTE SARL.
The prices applied are the ones in effect at the time of the registration to the program. The stated prices are « including all taxes ». ABICYCLETTE reserves the right to modify its prices at all times. They will then be valid immediately. The price is considered final when the travel sales contract is signed; it cannot be increased or reduced by ABICYCLETTE. However, in accordance with the law, ABICYCLETTE can be under obligation to modify its prices in the following situations :
The clients immediately forewarned are bound to acquit the supplement. Any refusal will be considered as a client cancellation (refer to the paragraph « client cancellation » to be acquainted with the terms and conditions of cancellation and the amount of reimbursement)
In case of special offers, organized by ABICYLETTE, prices may be modified for promotional purposes:
ABICYCLETTE’s clients, who are registered for a program, prior to a special offer, will not request nor benefit from any advantages from this special offer departure date, given trip or all trips included, apart from trips expressly excluded.
Cancellation by the organiser
ABICYCLETTE reserves the right to cancel the trip in either of the following situations:
Cancellation for any of these motives leads to total reimbursement of paid sums.
Cancellation by the client
The client can cancel his trip at any time after signature of the travel sales contract. If cancellation occurs more than 61 days before departure date, 5% of the total price of the trip (including options) will be kept, with a minimum of 100€ per person.
Changes made by the organiser
The program can be subjected to changes in case of force majeure, current special conditions which could be harmful to the group’s safety (weather, pandemic, political crisis…) which could lead to cancellation.
ABICYCLETTE, in accordance to Tourism Code, modified in December 2009, commits to suggest equivalent replacement offers when the company is unable to offer scheduled services when the latter embody a large percentage of the global price. If the company cannot suggest an equivalent service, it commits to reimbursing the corresponding sum.
Changes made by the client
The client may ask for changes concerning his travel options once the travel sales contract has been signed. Each change needs administrative intervention and/or reservations made by our team of trip advisers. That is why each change will be charged a 35€ fee. Cancellation for one or several service(s) is not considered as a change/modification. Cancellation of any service will be subjected to fees detailed in the paragraph « Client cancellation » and defined by the date of cancellation and the scheduled date of departure. A change/modification occurs when one service is replaced by another. The suggested replacement service may be at a higher cost, in that case the additional costs will be charged to the client(s). If the suggested replacement service is less expensive than the initial service, the difference will not be reimbursed by ABICYCLETTE, by means of cancellation fees of the first service suggested.
Cancellation Insurance Policy
ABICYCLETTE offers a cancellation insurance that its client(s) can take out individually or jointly (as a group). The insurance taken out as an option dispenses from cancellation fees (excluding excess) mentioned in this chapter. The client may ask for the insurance conditions to an ABICYCLETTE trip adviser.
According to the law, ABICYCLETTE authorizes its client(s) to transfer his travel sales contract to a third party. In order to be valid, the client(s) shall inform ABICYCLETTE of this decision, at the latest seven days before the first day of the program (date as per postmark). The decision must include all of the correct and complete contact details (see paragraph « Reservation and registration ») concerning the new participant(s), who must fulfill the same travel conditions (age, handicap, numerous options). Insurance options are not transmissible. The assignor and the transferee are jointly liable for the trip’s balance settlement and for the additional costs that the transfer may incur (for instance, a transport ticket that cannot be exchanged or where the date and time cannot be changed). In any case, additional application fees are due by the client (assignor and transferee jointly):
According to the law, ABICYCLETTE will convey the identity of the air carrier and all changes that may occur, set by the airline. ABICYCLETTE commits to offer and sell air transportation exclusively from « trustworthy » airlines. Each participant is liable for his equipment (bike, clothing equipment, all accessories), whether he is the owner or renter. We decline all liability for any damage on the bikes, for any falls or theft.
If there is a rental, a guarantee sum is mandatory by imprint of bank card. In the case of deterioration or theft of the rental equipment made available, ABICYCLETTE will debit the guarantee sum.
Some ABICYCLETTE trips include the rental of satellite equipment, i.e. a GPS. A guarantee is mandatory, by imprint of bank card. In the case of deterioration or theft of the rental equipment made available, ABICYCLETTE will debit the guarantee sum.
Each participant should bring suitable clothing and equipment needed for daily biking (short/long sleeved sportswear, fleece jacket, waterproof jacket, multi sport/activity shoes).
Wearing a helmet is strongly recommended. ABICYCLETTE declines all responsibility if the client(s) does not wear the recommended safety equipment.
ABICYCLETTE may provide safety equipment if the request has been explicitly stipulated when signing contract (see « the price includes »: rental equipment option.
Before the departure date, ABICYCLETTE advises its client(s) to make sure his passport(s) or ID card(s) are not out of date, and to check that his visa is valid if the destination requires one. ABICYCLETTE also recommends checking the Foreign Office’s webpage which gives information concerning formalities and precautions clients should be aware of before departure date: http://www.diplomatie.gouv.fr/fr/conseils-aux-voyageurs/
Before the departure date, ABICYCLETTE advises its client(s) to have a medical check-up done by its doctor, in order to check its aptitude to practise cycling. ABICYCLETTE declines all liability concerning any significant physical weakness due to physical activity.
ABICYCLETTE recommends reading the medical forms of any country its client(s) will visit, in order to check that all formalities are completed and that all health precautions are known: http://www.diplomatie.gouv.fr/fr/conseils-aux-voyageurs/. ABICYCLETTE shall not be responsible for any infection or sickness contracted during the trip. ABICYCLETTE will, in some specific situations, have the client(s) sign the medical forms for certain destinations, in title of its obligation of information.
ABICYCLETTE offers an extra additional service, which concerns renting equipment to the client(s). For example, client(s) can rent a bike (all kinds), saddle-bags, GPS, bike tools… This list is not exhaustive.
The equipment provided by ABICYCLETTE can be new or used, but it always benefits from regular control and maintenance. The equipment is always handed to the client(s) in a perfect working condition.
The equipment is provided within the legal framework of the drawing up of a rental contract. The contract specifies when the rental is effective, and when it ends. The contract also mentions where the client(s) take possession of the equipment. The contract engages both parties to the special rental conditions detailed in the contract and in the general terms and conditions.
An inventory of equipment is done with ABICYCLETTE and the CLIENT mentioned on the rental contract. The inventory of equipment is added as an appendix to the contract when the client(s) takes possession of the equipment. The CLIENT declares renting the defined equipment during the inventory of equipment, in perfect working and maintenance condition and/or writes a remark concerning defective equipment. The equipment is then fully under the client(s)’s liability, including in case of theft, total or partial damage. The CLIENT must respect the equipment in its daily use of a bike: minimum maintenance, every two days for bikes rented for several days, i.e. greasing the bicycle chain, clean the brake shoes and the rims.
A guarantee is needed by ABICYCLETTE. It shall be equal or lower to the sum of the equipment provided to the client(s). The amount of the guarantee will be mentioned by ABICYCLETTE during the inventory of equipment. The CLIENT agrees that ABICYCLETTE has the right to debit the guarantee if the equipment is lost or damaged.
In some cases, the bikes are rented by a partner of ABICYCLETTE. In that case, it is mentioned in the travel contract or the rental contract and the inventory of equipment is done by the PARTNER. ABICYCLETTE is not liable if the equipment is defective and if that has not been reported to the PARTNER by the CLIENT..
During trips and training courses, ABICYCLETTE hires professional photographers or takes pictures by its own means. ABICYCLETTE reserves the right to use these pictures for promotional purposes on leaflets, posters, websites, social networks. This list is not exhaustive.
The client(s) gives ABICYCLETTE, within the framework of promotional purposes and the online catalogue of SARL ABICYCLETTE (including www.abicyclette-voyages.net and www.abicyclette.net), the right to reproduce and show digitally worldwide, by shared rights and nontransferable rights, and for the whole duration of his intellectual property rights, an illustration of the services accomplished for the client.
Le client(s) also authorises ABICYCLETTE to use his first name, his image (this list is not exhaustive), in order to be reproduced and shared online at www.abicyclette-voyages.net and www.abicylette.net, and at future SARL ABICYCLETTE websites, for promotional purposes, bibliographic and/or for information only.
However ABICYCLETTE promises not to use any image which could be degrading or which could harm one or several clients.
If a client refuses the usage of his name, his image (this list is not exhaustive), he shall make a written request by post addressed to ABICYCLETTE, 81 MAIL FRANÇOIS MITTERRAND 35000 RENNES with acknowledgement of receipt, before the first day of the program for which the client has registered (in order that the pictures taken with the other participants may be used.
Questions and requests for further information concerning orders placed on SARL ABICYCLETTE’s websites may be transferred by email to ABICYCLETTE (firstname.lastname@example.org) or by mail (ABICYCLETTE, 81 MAIL FRANÇOIS MITTERRAND 35000 RENNES). ABICYCLETTE commits to answering any request or complaint within the shortest period.
At no time a complaint filed by the CLIENT may adjourn payment for the affected orders.
Contractual documents and the general terms and conditions in question are subject to French law.
Supposing that one or several clauses in question would be considered null in regard to a rule of law in effect or to an adjudication that has become irrevocable, the other stipulations would keep their complete significance and impact.
In case of interpretation problems amongst one of the titles or one of the clauses, the content of the clause will prevail over the title.
IN CASE OF DISPUTES AND AFTER AN ATTEMPT AT FINDING SOLUTIONS OUT-OF-COURT, THE CLIENT AND ABICYCLETTE WILL USE THE CLAUSE CONFERRING JURISDICTION

I do not really have one particular moment to remenber (a part from my accident) ... and then I will remember always all tour with homesickness. That was really the best vacation we ever had! Where should we go this summer? I would love to do another trip this year. Do you have any great itinerary ideas for us? Hello Natalie, We are now back in Sweden from our bicycle tour in Normandy. I would just like to give you some feed back from the tour: We were all very satisfied with the trip. When planning the trip, we found it very easy to work with you, quick answers and good flexibility for our ideas. Excellent choice of roads, which took us through the fantastic landscapes of Normandy, and also along the fashinating see shores ending with the first D-day shore. Most roads with very little traffic. We also appreciated the kindness of all french drivers who never complained although we sometimes were in the middle of the small narrow roads. The distances was OK for all of us. When there was a choice of long or short distances, we always selected the long ones. Easy to find the roads with the excellent GPS and the very good Road Book. We also appreciated the very good choice of B&B, places where we felt wellcome and with good standard. A trip we will recommend to our friends. We also had good luck with the weather, lots of sun, not to strong winds, just one or two showers in daytime. (Was the weather also organised by you??) With Best Regards (05/2017)
